Courses that made a difference
Geometry of Robots and Mechanisms
Taught by Dr. Carl Crane, this sequence of two graduate courses taught me the math behind serial and parallel robots, velocity and acceleration analysis of robot manipulators, and deepened my understanding of linear algebra.
Grade: A
Autonomous Vehicles
Taught by Dr. Carl Crane, this class taught me how to create a robot capable of sensor fusion and mapping. Using the ROS2 framework, in this class I created a small autonomous robot car capable of LiDAR mapping and GPS wayfinding.
Grade: A
Design and Manufacturing Lab
Taught by Dr. Sean Niemi, in this class I learned the fundamentals of creating physical components, from concept generation to manufacturing. This class provided training on manual mills and lathes, in addition to introductions to MIG welding and CNC operation.
